GBM Kidz
Creative Academy
A professional creative arts academy running during term time — in partnership with local schools, delivering music and arts to children where they already are.
The GBM Kidz Creative Academy offers structured, professionally led creative arts sessions for children and young people. We currently work with The Phoenix Academy, delivering piano and drum lessons to their pupils as an after-school afternoon club during term time. Sessions are available at a small, accessible fee — keeping professional creative education within reach for every family.

By partnering directly with schools, we bring high-quality music education to children during the school day — no extra travel, no barriers. Just great teaching, right where children already are.

Holiday Camps
Easter and summer camps for children aged 8–15 — free, bilingual, faith-rooted, and open to all. No exceptions.
Our holiday camps are one of the most loved things we do. Every place is completely free. Every child is welcome. Full details — including dates, activities, SEN provision, and registration — are on the dedicated camps page.

Music Workshops
& Gospel Choir
African rhythms, gospel music, vocal training, and music production — led by award-winning gospel artist Grace Balafonte.
Music is at the heart of GBM. Our music programme gives children and young people a space to sing, play, and grow — across a range of instruments and styles. Led by Grace Balafonte, a gospel artist and worship leader with over 15 years of experience, every session is designed to build musical skill, confidence, and a genuine love of music.

From their first chord to their first performance — our music programme gives children and young people the skills, the space, and the encouragement to grow as musicians and as people.
Youth Empowerment
& Mentoring
Group workshops and one-to-one mentoring for young people navigating identity, faith, and future — rooted in African Francophone heritage, designed for the UK context.
Growing up between two cultures is not simple. Our youth empowerment programme creates space for young people aged 13–25 to be honest about the tension — and to find their footing in faith, community, and purpose. Through group sessions, workshops, and mentoring, we walk alongside young people as they build the confidence and skills to thrive.
Building the Next Generation
The young people we serve are carrying something extraordinary — the inheritance of two worlds. Our job is to help them carry it with confidence, faith, and purpose.
Worship Gatherings
& Community Events
Bilingual worship gatherings, cultural celebrations, and community events that hold space for the whole family — spirit, culture, identity, and belonging, all in one room.
From the annual Rendez-vous des Worshippers conference to regular worship gatherings and community celebrations, GBM creates spaces where the Francophone African community in London can come together in faith and joy. Every event is bilingual, free, and rooted in the conviction that community is not an add-on — it is the mission.
